Venna Lake in the early morning is a completely different experience to midday visits. The mist sits low over the water, birds are active and the air is cool and clean. A 30 minute walk from the main market and perfect before breakfast. Summer visitors should carry water.

Arthur Seat at Sunrise

Most tourists visit Arthur Seat during the day but an early morning walk here offers misty valleys, bird song and an almost completely private panoramic view. On clear mornings from October to February you can see the Konkan coast far below. This is when the Queen of Points truly lives up to its name.

Connaught Peak Hike

The second highest peak in Mahabaleshwar is a more challenging hike than most viewpoints. The path through the forest is shaded and cool. Views at the top take in Venna Lake, the Krishna Valley and on clear days Pratapgarh Fort. Best done in the early morning October to March.
